Tazmanian Boxers began August 20, 1993, when Tazz was born. I brought this little brindle bitch to her new home in October of 1993, named her Tazz, and unknowingly began what is now Tazmanian Boxers. We had Boxers when I was a child, but this was different, she was all mine. I wanted to breed my little Tazz when the time came, but after just a little research I realized that I had a lot to learn. Being the perfectionist that I try to be, I set out on a journey to learn all I could about Boxers, breeding, health problems, AKC standard, and general care. I have attended breeding and genetic consortiums to learn how to produce quality, healthy, conformationally correct Boxers. I have probably learned mostly by joining the Tarheel Boxer Club and from fellow Boxer enthusiasts and their experiences. I am currently a member of both the Tarheel Boxer Club and the Georgia Boxer Club. There really is no end to learning when it comes to breeding and showing. Everything is a learning experience one way or another -- good or bad. I look forward to each litter to be better looking and healthier than the last. I am now into my FIFTH generation of producing puppies both for show and companionship. I am very excited about the future of Tazmanian Boxers with repeat clients. Please feel free to email me about any questions you have about your Boxer or mine! |
