We are the Delaney's.  To see pictures, scroll down. I think it's good too be able to see the
family and people you will be working with now or in the future. Chris and I are on stable
ground with our outlook on our dogs. I will say that I am the main caregiver of the dogs,
however Chris certainly picks up any slack that I cannot handle based on travel,  health, or
unforeseeable issue. We share all household responsibilities. Sometimes Chris would rather
take care of Violet and Colton while I take care of the dogs, other times it's visa-versa.  But
all-in-all we are in this together. I will begin the profiles with myself for a number of reasons
-- I'm the oldest! I'm the one that started this and feel I should be first. Chris is my husband
and has supported me unconditionally as finances have allowed. We have two children,
Colton and Violet.
Tazmanian Boxers
Currently I work in a pharmaceutical hardware division as a Project Manager. I have
over 20 years of working in an array of technical fields, but, my true love is my dogs. I
have had Boxers since I was 12 years old and have dedicated myself exclusively to this
breed. I strongly believe in striving to bring out the best of Boxers especially in health,
confirmation, and attitude. I have taken an active role in attending seminars, lectures,
self-learning courses on behaviorism, genetics, line breeding, and inbreeding. I also
continue to stay active in the Tarheel Boxer Club and the Georgia Boxer Club as
another way to stay up to date on Boxer issues..
This is a picture of my lovely husband Chris. Until Chris met me, he had never been
exposed to dogs that weren't anything but "yard dogs." Chris grew up in a house with
seven children, and the last thing they thought about was having a dog, so he got the
full treatment with me. Within two months, Chris was having to assist in whelping a
litter of pups, take care of multiple dogs, and take care of infant puppies. Talk about
trial by fire! He should have run then ... but, he didn't ... and that's how I knew was
the ONE!
Here is a picture of Colton at the beach summer 2007. We are not sure whether
Colton wants to continue to show or not, but after he watched another Junior
handler take "his" Cherie to the ring his tune changed. He became very eager to
learn under Nikki's direction and took third out of 10 in his first show in Fayetteville
2005. He's not showing right now and it's his choice to continue or not. He's making
As and Bs in school and wants to play baseball. Only time will tell!
Last, but definitely not least, is the baby of our family, Violet. She absolutely rocks
our world. Colton will flat tell you he loves her more than anyone, and what a
wonderful thing for a big brother to say! Violet is a daddy's girl, or a granddaddy's
girl, or a big brother's girl way before she's any female's girl. I'm sure I'm going to
have issues later ... but right now, the dogs as well as all her human family members
love her. Violet loves going to the dog shows and seeing the dog. Maybe she'll be the
next Taz exhibitor!!! Again, only time will tell.
